How Do I Consign my Sporting Goods?

We consign sporting goods that are in clean, saleable shape and have resale value in today’s market.  Drop off your sporting goods with your name and contact information.  When you come into the shop, Squan Sport Shop will determine what items can sell.  You will be asked to fill out a consignment agreement and list all of the items that you will be consigning.

How are Prices Determined?

Prices are determined by Squan Sport Shop and the Seller.  The formula used to guide that price is based on the retail selling price of the item, deducted by 50% and then another percentage off of that.

What Type of Items Can I Consign?

Review the “Merchandise” page to view the categories of types of items we consign. If you have something that is not included in this list, call the store and we will determine if the item will sell.

What Is the Benefit of Consigning with Squan Sport Shop?

The benefits are considerable, especially compared to other methods of reselling, such as garage sales or classified ads. Our method is hassle-free and maximizes your earnings potential. Your merchandise is displayed in our high traffic store increasing its exposure to prospective buyers. As a result, the likelihood of earning a fair price is greatly enhanced. Buyers can easily see your items instead of having to second guess your classified ad, and no more strangers will call or come to your house.

How Do I Know If Something Sold?

You can call the store or stop by the store at any time to see if your items sold.

How Do I Get Paid for the Items I Have Sold?

Consignment payouts are given every Tuesday and Friday.

Do You Purchase Goods Outright?

We typically do not purchase items outright.

Are You Insured?

Yes, as most businesses, we are insured for some risks. However, we do not insure your consigned items and do not accept any responsibility for (fire, water damage, dents, scratches, breakage, theft, disappearance...etc.).
